Since launching in 2006, SUPPORT4PHYSIO have been:

1. Delivering sports injury, physiotherapy and first aid supplies, directly to the public, healthcare practitioners, local authorities and the NHS.

2. Registered with the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as manufacturers of Class 1 orthopaedic support devices, manufacturing revolutionary VertiBaX lower back/ core muscle belts and supports.

3. Investing capital into academic research projects, through our team of biomedical scientists. SUPPORT4PHYSIO/VertiBaX Ltd work to further understand the mechanisms behind the use of Class 1 orthopaedic support and postural aids, in the management of joint and lower back pain.

The VertiBaX brand evolved from the naming of a product developed out of necessity by the founding and current owner, Angus Macnab. The need was simple; to help manage persistent lower back pain caused by a road traffic accident in 2000, all day every day. The outcome was the creation of a Core Lumbar range of lower back belts and supports, which warm core muscle groups using natural body heat, whilst supporting vertebrae in the lower back at the L5/S1 level of the spine.

The VB119 Core Lumbar Healthcare Sensory Belt evolved and having passed through the Boots Centre for Innovation became an officially recognised lower back pain management aid.

Product design takes place in Yorkshire with manufacture being completed in Cornwall by specialist product engineers.
